All of them! Our walls have been pretty much the same colour since we moved in 11 years ago and with various fix ups here and there we have a few areas that look patchy so I think it’s time. We are thinking about new colours but the only thing we are definite about is that we can’t decide. It should be an interesting process! Great tips!

It sounds like you are in the same situation as many of my clients, Tammy. The desire and determination is there, but the results are not. That is where professional organizers can help. They have the experience and tools to help clients move forward in their organizing projects. And, because hiring an organizer gives a homeowner a set time to dedicate to organizing, many homeowners end up getting much more accomplished than if they were working alone. As you suggested, the fees charged by professional organizers are wide ranging depending on the type of work they do, the region they serve, and their own preferences. I am not sure where you live, but if you email me (see my contact page), I can at least give you an idea of my own fee structure.

i have recently moved into a very small condo. I cannot seem to relax in it. I have stuff everywhere and not enough places to put it. I am trying to get myself organized, but it idoesnt seem to be working out so well!

I was wondering aprox. how much it costs to work with an organizer, understanding that prices will vary from place toplace.

Soon, Sue, soon. I just have to deal with hanging my door headboard and then I hope to share photos of the room in a week or two. I will post some of the organizing solutions for the room this week!

Thanks, Greg! I had the pieces of glass cut by a local glass and sign-making company. The two sheets cost about $80 altogether. Not cheap but not much of a dollar investment otherwise in this project as I already had the paint and primer. Yes, they sand the edges so they are super smooth and the 1/4-inch thickness is what they recommend for this type of project. I tend to only go for the more expensive tempered glass if the item is suspended -- as in glass set into a frame for a coffee table that does not have a piece of wood underneath supporting it (like the one in my family room photo here).

Looks great!

I curious about the glass for the project however; will the cutter buff the edges for you so they aren’t sharp? I’m not sure my local Home Hardware can do that. Also, is it a tempered glass?

I am just marvelling at your livingroom! I love the potlights, what a great addition. It looks wonderful, I can’t wait to see the bedroom. I am curious if you will find a difference in your heating bills since the heat will be contained in each room.

I wish we lived closer we could really use a colour consultation in our house… not to mention I need a fire lit under my butt.
